Documents

Clicking on the 'Documents' tab in the header of the resource will take you to a paginated list of the original documents.

Use the three tabs at the top of the page to view the documents by theme, parent CO 5 volume, or view all documents.

The documents are browsable by their title, CO 5 volume, theme, document type, colony and Colonial America module, and the list can be sorted by clicking the top of the various columns. Each document has attached searchable metadata consisting of key words and the most prominent names and places within. The small proportion (c. 5%) of printed documents are full-text searchable.

To help you find what you are looking for, refine the document listing by using the 'Filter Options' column at the side of the page, which will allow you to filter the listing by date, document type, theme or colony.

You can also undertake a general search in the box in the top right-hand corner of the screen.
